Dear Doctors,
“Not all superheroes wear capes.”
We all love watching our favorite superheroes/especially on the big screen, tracking down threats, fighting, and protecting the world from dangerous villains. Some of us root for the MCW heroes while others are staunch DC followers. Honestly, the list is quite long so is the undying craze for them.
In the middle of all the craze and fascination for reel life Superheroes, we often forget about real-life Superheroes. The Superheroes who don’t wear capes and masks but aprons, PPEs, and protective masks, are armed with stethoscopes, medical kits and have the power to bestow a healthy life to the ailing. The ones who work around the clock, diligently, looking after the sick and discovering ways of effective and efficient treatments.
You are the most powerful Superheroes, Doctors, and it’s for you that the world is alive.
thank you for being the Bravehearts standing as a shield between commoners and the coronavirus. you people have exhibited immense courage and dedication during these difficult times. you have been angels of light in the dark saving everybody from being swept up into oblivion. You never complain about how difficult it must be to breathe in those suffocating PPEs, nor you flinch for a second while going near an ailing person exposing yourself to the same disease.
we don’t believe we can do justice to the respect we have we have for u guys by putting it into words but the least we could do was try. We respect you guys so much for being the most selfless creatures on this planet, for the time when you forget to eat because your patient is in a bad condition, for the times when you disrupt your sleep to treat a person at 3 in the morning. we also appreciate the courage shown by your families. not everyone can put someone’s life before their own. thank you doctors
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the newspapers, as well as social media, are flooded with a lot of articles highlighting the plight of doctors, healthcare workers, and nurses who are risking their lives and working at hospitals and wards where the contamination is at its peak. How some of you are harassed and threatened. Acute shortage of necessary medical equipment worsened the situation. Many of you are even asked to vacate your rooms while some others simply got the tag of ‘Coronavirus carriers’. Reading these articles is heartbreaking. You don’t deserve this kind of behavior from us, the common people neither do we deserve your patience, Doctors.
I want to congratulate and thank you all for showing us hope in the form of discharged patients. It’s only possible because of the collective efforts from the health sectors, experiences, and knowledge of you all.
Doctors are Angels sent by God…
May God bless those brave Doctors who lost their lives in the fight against this virus. The world will remember them not only in these hard times but also their legacy of dedication and commitment will inspire the future gen of Doctors and healthcare workers.
Pandemic.
Lockdown.
Violence against them.
Even after all this.
People: you haven’t given up on me?
Doctors: Never
Respectfully,
VICTOR PAUL…
